Birthlight is a concept and a professional organisation, an idea and activity. It focuses on man, on the one hand, and searches for answers through science, on the other. It's a symbiosis of eastern wisdom and western ambition. We are united by the same passion for the wonder of birth as well as by common goal — to offer a caring environment in which parents would follow the joyous path to birth as conceived by nature. 

Our mission is to support mothers and fathers in their pursuit of experiencing birth and early months with their baby as a most happy one. Our research and all our practices are designed for the public benefit. The phenomenal worldwide popularity of Birthlight activity, which is supported by the fast developing chain of schools and teacher training around the globe, is possibly explained by a holistic approach to whichever task is undertaken. For all practices all aspects of the new and the old knowledge are used.

Our areas of expertise are perinatal yoga, aqua yoga, baby yoga, baby swimming and yoga for women. The notion of 'yoga' goes through every activity and the connection with parenthood is not coincidental. The practices, being bases upon Ayurvedic knowledge — centuries old system of physical and spiritual well-being which includes yoga, responds best to the needs of man. The western civilization has taken bits of this knowledge and has used the separately, without much connection between them. In Birthlight all practices are supported by ancient and present-day researchers and are all interdependent. This is why Birthlight is referred to as a 'system'. 

Birthlight system is originally founded in England and has never stopped attracting more and more specialists and parents from all over the world since then. Our colleague teachers are working in the UK, Ireland, France, Switzerland, Holland, Germany, Hungary, New Zealand, Australia, USA, Canada, Singapore, South Africa, Korea, China and Japan. Our success has never been about marketing. We prefer concentrating on non-stop perfection in terms of our professional knowledge and are developing through the impressions of parents whose positive feedback moves us forward.
